The Consultant role for product content is responsible for creation, syndication and maintenance of online product launch content for Dell websites worldwide. Primary responsibilities will involve project management of global web content that aligns to our content strategy.  The Consultant will work with marketing managers, translators and developers to create and syndicate online content for product launches. He/she should ensure the launches/projects are on track and work with the teams that support product launches globally.


Key Responsibilities

  • Leads business process improvement initiatives and analyzes and tracks performance against established goals
  • Maintains deep understanding of industry and competitor activities and new online strategies and tools; understands and incorporates data and analysis to drive test plans and identify opportunities
  • Works closely with both marketing and development teams regarding on-line strategy and content; serves as the subject matter expert and consulting resource for a functional area
  • Performs gap analysis, risk management, and estimates for business cases lead cross-functional teams to select and deliver solutions; direct work of developers and analysts
  • Evaluates user requirements for one or more specialized business applications and translates those needs into defined user assessment plans or specifications
  • Develops project plans and defines cost and time estimates for implementation and development of complex enterprise level solutions; Creates business process flow charts for customer and technical review
  • Works on applications and business problems that are highly complex and diverse in scope and may include multiple IT segments, global roll-out, new technologies, new architectures


Essential Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with 12+ years relevant experience or master’s degree with 8+ years relevant experience
  • Experience publishing online content using web content management systems
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and basic knowledge of HTML, XML and CSS web technologies
  • Strong project management and process optimization skills; strong facilitation and communication skills
  • Experience working on large, cross-functional global projects and instructing virtual teams
  • Able to multi-task to manage both tactical and strategic work streams relating to area of responsibility
  • Advanced business acumen and strategic ability, as well as advanced analytical skills and knowledge of statistics

  • Global project experience preferred
  • Ability to focus on the "big picture" as well as have a strong eye for detail and organization
  • Demonstrate advanced attentiveness to quality and productivity
