Robotics - Senior RPA Developer

Digital Operations is responsible for managing and developing on the technical operations infrastructure which supports both manual and robotic banking operations processing for Bank of Ireland Group. This infrastructure is built on a number of core components - Blue Prism RPA, SQL Server, HCL Toscana Workflow (T1 & T2), C # Data Bridge code, Amazon Web Services, EngageHub SMS platform and Tableau analytics.

A small technical team within the Digital Operations function supports and develops the data bridge C# components and manages and develops the SQL Server databases. This team also has responsibility with delivering the next wave of innovation within Digital Operations looking at Machine learning & AI tools available in the market and how these technologies could be utilised.

The opportunity:

The Blue Prism solution provides a platform for resources from the business operations or IT teams to deliver self-service process automations on an IT supported, secure and resilient infrastructure.

Senior Process Developers have responsibility for supporting the creation and evolution of the delivery framework, mentoring other process developers and delivering automated processes.

The Senior RPA developer will be required to work as part of a dynamic team delivering innovative solutions to business teams. As a senior team member you will be required toleadthedevelopment on delivery projects and ensure standards are met. You will also be required to helpmentor juniormembers of the team.

Location: This role is based in Baggot Plaza, Dublin City Centre.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Designing Blue Prism process solutions in accordance with standard Blue Prism design principles and conventions.
  • Configuring new Blue Prism processes and objects using core workflow principles that are efficient, well structured, maintainable and easy to understand.
  • Mentoring colleagues through the Blue Prism training and accreditation program - providing advice and guidance on best practice and development techniques
  • Analysing, understanding and documenting the business processes in detail where required.
  • Supporting existing processes and implementing change requirements as part of a structured change control process.

Essential Requirements:

Skills & Experience:

  • The ability to learn quickly and progress rapidly from theoretical exercises to real world delivery and mentoring tasks.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to present technical details to a non-technical audience.
  • Good written skills with the ability to produce clear and concise documentation
  • The ability to work with a structured and methodical approach, combined with an enquiring mind.
  • A minimum of 2 years developing and testing software on a Windows platform and adhering to a structured and documented methodology OR a minimum of 6 months developing and implementing automated Blue Prism processes as an accredited developer.

Education:

  • Leaving certificate - minimum of 5 passes (grade D or above) at Ordinary Level, which must includeEnglish and Maths, or equivalent or superseding qualification

Desirable Requirements:

  • 3rd level degree in a relevant discipline
