ROLE DESCRIPTION
As the Finance & Treasury intern, you will support the greatest minds of SAP. You will report to the Treasury Vice President and the Chief Financial Officer for SAP in Ireland, whilst working closely with other employees across a variety of departments. Each day you will have access to technical experts, subject-matter experts and business professionals, all broadening your knowledge of the business workplace and Finance & Treasury overall.

The internship starts in September 2018.

 

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
Your role will be to assist with:

  • Support for the SAP Ireland CFO and Treasury VP, as well as the wider finance teams when required
  • Prepare, manage and support on a range of different Finance projects
  • Intercompany invoicing, vendor management and processing of purchase orders and for SAP Ireland activities
  • Preparation of PowerPoint presentations for both internal and external events, including board meetings, quarterly business and financial reviews, conferences and project reports
  • Participate in meetings with banks and other business partners, where investment strategy and financial products are discussed
  • Use different SAP software at a basic level such as ISP, Concur, Fiori, ARM, Ariba SRM, Success Factors
  • Work with the CFO, Treasury VP and Controller on consolidating numbers to draft statements and reports, based on information from the P&L, Balance Sheet and Trial Balance;
  • Participate in Global Team meetings and trainings, where topics and projects related to treasury across all business regions of SAP are presented

WORK EXPERIENCE
Previous work experience in a business / office environment an advantage but not essential

 

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATION / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
Bright, articulate and motivated student, who is going to be actively enrolled during the time of the internship with the following key competencies:

  • Currently studying towards a minimum 2:1 degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance or Business Studies or equivalent
  • Strong proficiency in MS-Office skills (especially Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
  • High energy level
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to work off own initiative and self-manage topics
  • Adapt and overcome new challenges.
  • Strong interest in working in a multinational/ multicultural environment
  • Strong team player
  • Eager to learn and develop new skills
