IT Service Continuity Manager
IT Service Continuity Management (ITSCM) within the Service Design team owns the ITSCM process and ensures that it is understood and implemented. This process supports the overall Business Continuity Management (BCM) approach by ensuring the required IT technical and service facilities (including computer systems, networks, applications, data repositories, telecommunications, environment, technical support and Service Desk) can be resumed within required, and agreed, business timescales.
ITSCM also has responsibility for development and maintenance of the IT Service Continuity Plan and working with all IT service providers on the development and execution of a schedule of Service Continuity tests across the year.
The Service Design team comprises of Availability, Capacity and IT Service Continuity Management (ITSCM) and integration across all areas has been identified as key success to lifting the IT Service offering in Technology Services.
The opportunity:
A Service Continuity Manager within the Service Design team will:-
- Ensureappropriate IT Service Continuity issues & risks that could seriously impact on our IT Services are closely managed.
- Ensure IT Service Continuity Risks, Issues and Events are actively managed
- Quality development, production and maintenance of the overall IT Service Continuity Plan
- Close management and measurement of the Service Continuity test schedule and execution
- Ensure the correct level of Governance, MI is in place for all ITpartners and services
- Promote and educate the IT Service Continuity role in the Group Crisis Management framework.
Location: This role is based in the IT Centre Cabinteely
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing and maintaining the ITSCM process, in accordance with the overall requirements of the Group`s Business Continuity Management process
- Maintenance the overall IT Service Continuity Plan
- Ensuring that individual Service Continuity Plans are in place for all Mission Critical Business Services (MCBS)
- Provision of advice and guidance to all other areas of the business and IT service continuity related issues.
- Performance of post mortem test reviews to ensure that any issues arising from tests are logged, tracked and remediated as required
- Work with Service Transition team to ensure that all new or changed services meet IT Service Continuity requirements
- Participation in vendor governance meetings
- Promote and educate the IT Service Continuity role in the Group Crisis Management framework.
- Maintain & monitor standards, controls, processes and solutions, to minimise business and IT risk
- Ensure full compliance with all Group, Legal and Regulatory requirements and standards
- Positive and proactive participation within the team and active collaboration with colleagues across IT @ BOI
Essential Requirements:
Skills & Experience:
- Demonstrated understanding of the Group`s risk framework, organisational processes, products and systems
- Proven ability to effectively manage multiple simultaneous tasks and/or initiatives
- Ability to manage well under pressure and to operate in a decisive and inclusive manner
- Confidence in dealing with all levels within an organisation
- Experience of managing work across a multi-vendor outsourced environment
- Strong reporting and presentational skills
Education:
- Leaving certificate - minimum of 5 passes (grade D or above) at Ordinary Level, which must includeEnglish and Maths, or equivalent or superseding qualification
Desirable Requirements:
- 3rd level degree in a relevant discipline
- ITIL v3 Certified
