Associate, Leveraged Acquisition Finance in Dublin

Job description

The Corporate & Treasury Division provides a range of lending products, derivatives and other banking services to major corporations and financial institutions from its offices in Ireland, the UK and the US.

We provide senior cash flow debt financing to support the buy-outs (LBO's) of top middle market private equity firms.

Purpose of the Role

The Associate serves as a key member of the deal team, and will receive significant responsibility, deal experience, and client exposure. Additionally, the Associate is responsible for supervising a portfolio of closed transactions. We coordinate agented deal closing acting as an intermediary between the client, investors and internal procedures.

Key Accountabilities
  • Role Responsible for the preparation of initial credit review prescreens on new deals; participating in the underwriting and business commitment process for new transactions;
  • Performing industry and general economic research as part of transaction analysis; reviewing and analyzing company financial documents and other due diligence materials; prepare write ups of credit papers for submission to BOI Dublin based credit authorities;
  • Work with Credit Department in Dublin with respect to U.S. transactions; aiding in the transaction closing process (loan execution, funding, and documentation) as well as general portfolio administration;
  • analyzing monthly financials and supervising ongoing loan performance; performing financial modeling and analysis;
  • collaborating with execution teams of private equity clients during the diligence documentation and closing processes; assisting in the customer on-boarding procedures including handling the Know Your Customer ("KYC") process.Telecommuting and remote work allowed

Bank of Ireland in Stamford, Connecticut, seeks an Associate, Leveraged Acquisition Finance.

This exciting role gives the successful candidate the opportunity to assist in the syndication process through interactions with prospective investors regarding diligence and other general information requests. They will also assist the originations team through the generation of pitch books for refinancing, recapitalization and new issuance opportunities.

Essential Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related.

Essential Skills & Experience Requires 2 years of experience in job offered or related finance role. Must have:
  • Solid understanding of Irish, European, and US banking regulations, including ECB leverage guidelines & Brexit risk;
  • Excellent knowledge in financial modeling with downside scenario testing in compliance with Irish, European, and US banking regulations;
  • Ability to Review U.S. leveraged finance deals for GDPR compliance along with Irish and European ESG (Environmental Social Governance) compliance;
  • Stong knowledge & use of internal loan administration systems - preferably Fidelity banking solutions;
  • Proficient use and knowledge of deal pricing systems;
  • Knowledge and experience of using KYC assessment systems, preferable NTT;
  • Experienced knowledge of US and i leveraged finance markets, and liaise and share knowledge across different markets;
  • Ability to work both on own initiative as well as a team member of a multi-jurisdictional team.
