The Worldwide Bookings Operations team is responsible for all order management, fulfillment and partner liaison activity within VMware.  We are a global team who strive for operational excellence ensuring clarity in messaging; increasing customer (internal & external) engagement; supporting and promoting corporate strategy and initiatives; and developing, improving, and executing area business plans.

Role Description:

The Worldwide Bookings Operations – Order Management role is a varied and diverse one.  We not only manage all order processing globally but also undertake mergers & acquisition integration, pricing, projects and systems changes.  We liaise with multiple cross- functional departments within VMware such as Revenue Finance, Export & Trade Compliance and Legal to name a few.  Our reach is global and we cover all geographies and interact with the Field Sales teams and the Channel Operations teams globally.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Accurately review and enter order data as per company requirements
  • Handle purchase order reconciliation to quote, contract terms and program requirements
  • Adhere to all compliance guidelines including SOX and export regulations
  • Maintain all published SLAs for order processing and fulfilment
  • Interact with sales teams, channel partners and numerous internal groups as required to support the order-to-invoice process
  • Participate in projects and initiatives related to quality, data migration, SKU testing and operational efficiency 
  • Deliver on ad-hoc assignments as business requires 
You Need:
  • Be studying towards Commerce/ BIS /Finance or any other related degree
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Ability and motivation to work efficiently in a multi-task environment, both independently & as part of a team
  • Ability to identify and resolve issues to effectively process orders
  • Positive, collaborative approach and sound business insight
  • Ability to work outside of standard office hours as per business requirements
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Good work ethic and sense of responsibility
  • Candidates must have graduated within 12 months of the start date (July 2019) to be eligible for a graduate role

  • Reporting and analytical skills
  • Experience collaborating on projects – such as university project work with fellow students
  • Dynamic individual, keen to work and collaborate in a high-energy team dependent environment.
  • Positive and engaging manner, excellent listening and interpersonal skills, strong writing skills.
  • Inquisitive commercial interests, manner, and aptitude.
  • Ability to manage several tasks at once and succeed in a rapidly changing environment

  • Proficient with standard corporate productivity tools (email, voicemail, MS Office)
  • A basic understanding of computing technology, a dedication to ongoing learning, and comfort discussing technology and business value with customers
