VMwareIntern - Finance - Tax Intern in Cork

Location: Ballincollig, Cork

Reporting to the International Senior Tax Manager, this position is based in the Tax department of VMware. The role would involve you assisting the Tax Team with the International Corporate tax compliance, and tax reporting.

The role will offer you the opportunity to experience working in a team with varied strengths and a large multinational company.

Responsibilities:

• You will be involved in the International Corporate tax compliance process which will involve engaging with external advisors as required to request information.
• You will liaise with the VMware Finance department to capture information relating to tax/accounting matters.
• Review US reporting files on a quarterly basis.
• Run accounting reports from SAP, prepare the monthly and quarterly International Corporate tax payments files.
• You will work with the US Tax Team to support the monthly/quarterly tax accruals process and other ad hoc projects.

Position Requirements:

• Accounting, tax/legal background advantageous.
• Focused, organised, self-driven person who can work on their own initiative and as part of a wider team.
• A committed individual that is diligent in performing self-reviews of their work product.
• Capable of handling multiple tasks, prioritizing and adhering to tight timelines.
• Excellent verbal and written social skills.
• Proven IT skills and proficient in Excel.
