Senior Financial Accountant - Statutory Reporting

Reporting to the Head of Financial Reporting at EMEA headquarters in Cherrywood, Dublin, this role will be an integral part of the Accounting team on a day to day basis and will be expected to leverage from and work with other key Dell sites such as Austin, Texas, Bratislava, Slovakia and Bucharest, Romania.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Statutory Accounting process for Dell Bank International DAC
  • Maintain the IFRS statutory books in an efficient manner with a timely and transparent close process
  • Ensuring all General Accounting transactions are recorded in line with the relevant accounting standards
  • Assist in the management of the interim and final external audit, production of the Annual Financial Statements; portfolio analytics
  • Ensure that reconciliations are completed in line with internal reconciliations policy
  • Co-ordinate KPI process and outsourced SLA process and identify process improvements and implement
  • Manage the monthly intercompany re-charge and settlement process, the reconciliation of Primary (US GAAP) v Statutory (IFRS) books and the Financial Reporting Risk Management process
  • Facilitate month-end calls with relevant stakeholders, as well as provide support to the Head of Financial Reporting and the Financial Controller as required and to the Regulatory Reporting team

Qualifications and Key Requirements:

  • 5+ years as a qualified accountant and currently accredited by ACA, ACCA or  CIMA
  • Understanding of the high tech industry or financial services is desirable
  • Proficiency in core financial systems e.g. Oracle, Excel etc.
  • Ability to use own initiative and develop solutions based on business parameters
  • Comfortable working in a fast moving and dynamic international business
  • Strong financial and business acumen
  • Communication skills, time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
